LG pitcher Kelly earns win with quality start in first-place matchup.
Kelly started the game against SSG at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on May 25, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts over six innings to earn the win. Five wins on the season.

After the game, Kelly said, “The bats did a great job of scoring runs early, so I was able to throw without pressure. The hitters continue to hit well, which helps me a lot. In the pitch count battle, I tried to be aggressive and work the count, and I feel like I’m continuing to get better with Dongwon Park.”
On their victory over SSG in the No. 1 fight. “(SSG) is a team that we played a lot against last year and this year, and they’re pretty much the same lineup as last year, so I think that makes them a little bit trickier, so I think we were more focused,” Kelly said.
