Besiktas sporting director Ceyhun Kazanci has insisted Wout Weghorst remains their player and they will not let him go to Manchester United easily.

Weghorst appeared to wave goodbye to the Besiktas fans after scoring in their 2-1 win over Kasimpasa in the Turkish Superliga on Saturday.

The Dutch striker has been on loan at the club from Burnley, scoring nine goals in 18 games. The deal is due to last the whole season. 메이저놀이터

However, Manchester United are interested in taking him on loan for the rest of the campaign.

talkSPORT understands Weghorst is keen on moving to Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his attacking options.

The issue they may find is that Besiktas are seemingly unwilling to tear up that loan agreement at this stage – unless they receive an acceptable fee.

As quoted by Fanatik, Kazanci said: “I don’t understand why Weghorst said goodbye to the fans, why he made such a move. He is our football player right now. Our contract expires at the end of the season.

“If Manchester United or any other team wants Weghorst, they will meet with Burnley anyway. Burnley will then contact us and discuss the terms of separation. If we accept, the contract will be terminated.

“Otherwise, it will go on until the end of the season. He can’t just go. There will have to be a reward for us to approve the separation.

“I’ll give an example. Burnley told us, ‘We made a deal with this team for Weghorst. We give you half of the transfer fee.’ This may be a different condition. Then we’ll sit down and talk.”
